Frelapay is a worktech solution, bridging the gap for freelancers and clients seeking to engage with each other from around the world, all without the necessity of establishing a physical presence in foreign countries.
In this project, I assumed a multifaceted role encompassing UX research, UX design, UI design, and the development of a cohesive design system.

Frelapay's origin story begins with a pivotal moment in the founder's career. While working with an international client, the founder encountered a significant issue: the client delayed payment indefinitely, and all attempts at communication were in vain. Discussing this experience with fellow freelancers revealed that this was a common challenge in global freelancing.

In order to gain more understanding of the challenges faced by freelancers that work with clients across the globe, I conducted research sessions by engaging in conversations with individuals in my professional network who also work as freelancers, and to do this, I had to define a set of personas that will help us streamline our conversation to the right set of individuals.

With all this ideas or solutions, we defined what we wanted our final solution to achieve, and it was clear that I needed to design Frelapay for both Freelancers and Businesses.

Freelancers and businesses sign legally tenable contracts of agreement, including NDAs if necessary, before work begins.

Projects are broken down into milestones with payment invoices attached to each milestone, so a freelancer gets paid for each milestone, as opposed to waiting for half-payment and full-payment.

An integral aspect of the design process involves crafting an initial framework that visually represents the product's appearance, informed by research and insights. Therefore, I developed wireframes to conceptualize and map out the holistic user experience for the platform.

This project has been a rich learning experience for me, as I've been deeply immersed in its development and have engaged with numerous customers along the way.
As the product designer behind Frelapay, I've had the privilege of bringing this idea to life. Frelapay acts as an employer of record, facilitating seamless agreements, work collaboration, invoicing, and global payments for freelancers.
